# Update task

> Change the name, description or schedulable flag of a structured task, where an omitted description or flag keeps its value; returns the updated task source document.

`updateTask(projectReference: String!, taskId: String!, input: UpdateTaskInput!): TaskSource!`

Requires project.runs.write.
