# Update AI budget

> Change the monthly limit of a budget named inside the input object.

`updateAiBudget(input: UpdateAiBudgetInput!): AiBudget!`

**Deprecated.** Renamed; the budget is an explicit argument.

Use Update budget (`Mutation.updateBudget`) instead.

**Deprecated:** Use updateBudget. (CR-billing-legacy-names)

Usage already recorded this month is retained; if the new limit is below it, the next call in the scope is rejected. Supply exactly one of the credit or the deprecated USD limit. |
| `monthlyLimitUsd` | [`Float`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/float) | No | Monthly limit in USD, converted to credits at the published credit price. Deprecated: Use monthlyLimitCredits. |
