# Delete cache entries

> Delete every cache entry matching a glob pattern; * clears the project cache.

`deleteCacheEntries(projectReference: String!, pattern: String!): CacheEntryBulkDeletion!`

Requires project.cache.write; API keys also need delete scope.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Required | Description |

| `projectReference` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Project UUID or slug. |
| `pattern` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Glob pattern over keys, 1 to 512 characters. |

## Response

Returns [`CacheEntryBulkDeletion!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/cacheentrybulkdeletion). Open the type for its fields and nested types.

| `status` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Always deleted. Deprecated: Use ok. |
| `deletedCount` | [`Int!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/int) | Number of entries actually removed. Deprecated: Use ok. |
