# Get cache entry

> Read one cache entry, as REST GET /projects/{project_reference}/cache/entries/{key}.

`cacheEntry(projectReference: String!, key: String!): CacheEntry!`

A miss returns found=false.

Requires project.cache.read.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `projectReference` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Project UUID or slug. |
| `key` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Cache key, 1 to 512 characters. |

## Response

Returns [`CacheEntry!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/cacheentry). Open the type for its fields and nested types.

| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `projectId` | [`ID!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | Project that owns the cache. |
| `key` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Cache key. |
| `found` | [`Boolean!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/boolean) | Whether a live entry exists for the key. A miss is a result, not an error. |
| `value` | [`String`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Stored value, always decompressed; null when found is false. |
| `expiresAt` | [`DateTime`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/datetime) | Time the entry expires; null for a miss or for an entry written through the legacy no-expiry path (ttl=0). |

Types marked with `!` cannot be null. Lists use `[Type]` notation. The [type index](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/schema.md) lists all published input and response types.
