# Update conversation branch selection

> Select which branch is the current path of a conversation after the user switches branches, so that later messages continue from the selected message; returns the ID of the selected message.

`updateConversationBranchSelection(conversationId: ID!, input: UpdateConversationBranchSelectionInput!): BranchSelection!`

## Response

Returns [`BranchSelection!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/branchselection). Open the type for its fields and nested types.
