# Create account

> Create a team account that the caller owns.

`createAccount(input: CreateAccountInput!): Account!`

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Required |
| - | - | - |
| `input` | [`CreateAccountInput!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/createaccountinput) | Yes |

## Input fields

### input

[`CreateAccountInput`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/createaccountinput)

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `name` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | |
| `slug` | [`String`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Unique account slug. Omit to derive it deterministically from the name. A duplicate slug is rejected as already existing; creation does not replay the existing account. Filter the account list by slug to find it. |

## Response

Returns [`Account!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/account). Open the type for its fields and nested types.

| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `id` | [`ID!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | |
| `slug` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | |
| `name` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | |
| `kind` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | |
| `createdAt` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | |
| `updatedAt` | [`String!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | |
| `membership` | [`AccountMembership!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/accountmembership) | The caller's role and resolved account capabilities. |

Types marked with `!` cannot be null. Lists use `[Type]` notation. The [type index](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/schema.md) lists all published input and response types.
