# Read one channel and its runtime target

> Return a channel binding.

`channel(projectReference: ID!, channelId: ID!): Channel!`

Requires project.channels.read.

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Required | Description |

| `projectReference` | [`ID!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | Yes | Project UUID or slug. |
| `channelId` | [`ID!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | Yes | Channel ID in the selected project; a channel in another project returns not\_found. |

## Response

Returns [`Channel!`](https://veryfront.com/docs/cloud/graphql/types/channel). Open the type for its fields and nested types.
