# CreateProjectInput

> Input object in the GraphQL API.

| `slug` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Lowercase project identifier. Starts with a letter; words may be separated by single hyphens. |
| `name` | [`String!`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Project display name. Must not be empty. |
| `description` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Project description. |
| `templateSlug` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Starter or accessible template project slug. Omit for an empty project. |
| `templateProjectId` | [`ID`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | No | Accessible template project UUID to copy. Overrides templateSlug. |
