# GetFilesInput

> Input object in the GraphQL API.

Input for getting multiple files

| `projectReference` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Project ID or slug; omit to use the context project. Explicit selection requires project.files.read. |
| `ref` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Content selector: main, branch:\<name-or-id>, release:\<version>, or env:\<name>. Omit to preserve the current content context. |
| `branch` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Branch name or ID; alias for ref=branch:\<value>. Conflicting aliases are rejected. |
| `branchId` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | No | Legacy branch name or ID alias. |
| `paths` | [`[String!]!`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Yes | Array of file paths to fetch |
