# Release

> Response type in the GraphQL API.

An immutable snapshot of a project's files that can be deployed to an environment. This is the single declaration of the type; project, environment and deployment producers all serve this shape.

| `version` | [`String`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/string) | Semver version, for example 1.2.3. Null for releases created before versioning. |
| `projectId` | [`ID`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | |
| `userId` | [`ID`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/id) | Account that created the release. |
| `exportStatus` | [`ReleaseStatus`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/releasestatus) | Phase of the export step. |
| `buildStatus` | [`ReleaseStatus`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/releasestatus) | Phase of the build step. |
| `deployStatus` | [`ReleaseStatus`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/releasestatus) | Phase of the environment deployment step. A successful build never sets this on its own. |
| `createdAt` | [`DateTime`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/datetime) | RFC3339 creation timestamp. |
| `updatedAt` | [`DateTime`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/datetime) | RFC3339 timestamp of the last status or metadata change. |
| `versions` | [`[Version!]!`](/docs/cloud/graphql/types/version) | File versions captured by this release, hydrated from the linked version records. |
