# ReleaseStatus

> Enum in the GraphQL API.

Phase of the release lifecycle. The six phases are the canonical release status vocabulary shared by every protocol; legacy stored spellings are normalized onto them, and an unrecognized stored value is reported as an error rather than projected onto a success phase.

| Value | Description |
| - | - |
| `pending` | The step has not started. |
| `building` | The export or build step is running. |
| `built` | The build artifact exists. This does not imply an environment deployment. |
| `deploying` | The deployment step is running. |
| `deployed` | The step completed successfully. |
| `failed` | The step failed. |
