Requires upload write, path edit access and confirm:true.

Project API keys must also authorize delete.

## Access

No external-service connection is required. Use a Veryfront credential with access to the requested resources.

**Call type:** Can change resources.

## Arguments

| Field | Type | Required | Description and constraints |
| - | - | - | - |
| `project_reference` | `string` | No | Project ID or slug. Minimum length: `1`. |
| `path` | `string` | Yes | Folder path; a trailing slash is appended when absent. Minimum length: `1`. |
| `confirm` | `boolean` | Yes | Must be true to confirm folder deletion and soft deletion of contained files. Value: `true`. |

## Example request

Send this JSON-RPC request through an initialized MCP client. Replace sample identifiers and values before calling the tool. See [MCP client setup](/docs/cloud/getting-started/connect-mcp).

```json title="request.json" theme={null}
{
  "jsonrpc": "2.0",
  "id": 1,
  "method": "tools/call",
  "params": {
    "name": "veryfront__delete_upload_folder",
    "arguments": {
      "path": "example",
      "confirm": true
    }
  }
}
```

## Result

The published output shape is summarized below. Inspect both the MCP response content and `isError` when handling a call.

| Field | Type | Required | Description and constraints |
| - | - | - | - |
| `success` | `boolean` | Yes | Folder settings removed and contained files soft-deleted. Value: `true`. |
