# Files panel

> Browse project files inside the Code panel.

The Files panel is the file tree for the Code workspace.

## Capabilities

* Browse project files and folders.
* Create files and folders.
* Rename, duplicate, and delete files when permitted.
* Open files in the editor.

## Use it when

* You need to find a source file.
* You want to add or organize project files.
* You need file navigation beside the code editor.
