Connect a Slack workspace in the Channels panel and pick the agent that answers. Each Slack message starts a run of that agent, so replies use the agent’s model, tools, and knowledge.

Steps

  1. In Studio, open the project.
  2. Open Channels.
  3. Select Connect Slack.
  4. In Slack, approve the Veryfront app for your workspace.
  5. In Slack, invite the Veryfront app to each channel it should answer in.
  6. In Slack channel, pick a channel or All invited channels. A preview branch needs a specific channel, so pick one if the agent runs on a preview branch.
  7. In Agent, pick the agent that answers. See Create an agent if you don’t have one yet.
  8. In Respond when, choose Only when mentioned, Direct messages, or All messages.
  9. In Runs on, choose Main branch, Preview branch, or Environment.
  10. For a preview branch or an environment, pick it in the Preview branch or Environment field that appears.
  11. Select Create channel.
  12. In Test Slack channel, pick a channel.
  13. Select Send test message to confirm the connection.

How replies work

  • The agent replies in the thread of the message it answers.
  • Replies in the same thread continue the same conversation, so the agent sees earlier turns.
  • The app adds an eyes reaction while the agent works, then a check mark when it replies, or a cross when the run fails.
  • Each reply is a run. Open Runs to inspect it, and Conversations to read the thread.
  • Runs use project credits like any other run.
